ASSEMBLING ELECTRIC MOTORS.
Along with the current rise in products containing electric motors, manufacturers are looking for alternative methods for a more efficient production process. The PROTHERM STATOR HOUSING-LINE guarantees an even and tension-free heating cycle, where the housing itself is the heating element: direct heating with minimal losses.
SUPERIOR EFFICIENCY.
Stator house heating is the most effective method when assembling stator and stator housing during the production of electric motors. It eliminates the damage done by cold pressing, which fans out the stator’s laminations and makes the motor noisier and less efficient.
With the PROTHERM STATOR HOUSING-LINE it takes 64 seconds for a stator housing 132M (4.8 kg) to reach 180 °C, at a total energy consumption of only 376 watts (@ 400V, 53A, 50Hz). That saves you up to 63% on energy compared to a conventional oven, which needs around 880 seconds and 977 watts per cycle for the same result.
MAXIMUM FLEXIBILITY.
In the PROTHERM STATOR HOUSING-LINE, different housing sizes can be heated without conversion. Housings ranging from size 56 to 225 can be heated, and with the right configuration both iron and aluminium housings are handled by one device.
The PROTHERM STATOR HOUSING-LINE has a small footprint, with maximum dimensions of only 120 × 180 × 200 cm. That makes it easy to add to an existing production line, or to scale up later with a second unit.
CONTINUOUS WORKFLOW.
The stepped platform lets the operator heat different housing sizes with one device, without any conversion:
- Select the specific housing size and material type.
- Place the housing, and the heating cycle starts with the right settings for the workpiece.
- The housing is lowered into the coil automatically.
- At temperature it rises, ready for assembly, and the next housing can be heated.
